Sat on the ground
TWO of me
Just looked around
“Move!” ONE said:
“This grass is wet”
“Breathe!” TWO went
From 1 to 10.
THREE of me
Got lost in thoughts
Strings of words
in bushy knots
FOUR of me
Sweat like pig!
“Down the heat”
It’s 93°!”
FIVE of me
For lack of sleep
Did not see
The shadows creep
Lazy bones
Against the stones
Moan and groan
Quite surly tones
ONE and TWO
Of me just flitted
When they felt
The droplets hit
THREE:”That’s it”
And FOUR:”We split,
ONE:’You lost your wit?”
FIVE of me
Sat on the ground
ONE of me
Cannot be found
FOUR of me
Watched TWO astound”
THREE:”get her
Before she drowns”
ONE and THREE
Got to their feet
TWO and FOUR
Asked for a treat
FIVE of me
Stomped mud and peat
All them leaped
In a rush to leave
