Small Treasures

The Power of Words

Great quotes are often powerful guides. In few, sometimes poetic words, they might trace relevant truths.

Quotes can inspire, reveal secrets or just motivate us to take action. They are part of the cultural heritage of everyday human experience; a thread of our humanity, weaving our stories in the continuum of life.
Quotes have an awakening effect on me. Somehow they remind me that I am not alone in my wanderings and quests; someone was there before, he or she knows..

I thought it would be wonderful to share some quotes that had touched me, and invite my readers to share their favorites…

That is what Small Treasures is about!

  1. One thing I love so much about many powerful quotes that speak to my heart is the timelessness of the message. Thought leaders have been trying to inspire the human race since the beginning of civilization through pictures and words – and the common threads are many.

I read this one yesterday “When you are inspried by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: your mind trancends limitations, your conscciousness expands in every directsoion, and you find yourself in a new great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.” Patanjali, 200AD, often referred to as the Founder of Yoga

I am so grateful many on this earth are able to verbalize and help us visualize the depth of life’s beauty. I am not gited in that way (mine is a more pragmatic approach to life) and I so appreciate those who are! Thank you Mercedes for sharing your gifts! 🙂
